Lost your show venue to Foot & Mouth?
THE FOOT and Mouth outbreak has caused numerous dog shows to be cancelled.
Not so the All About Dogs event, which is being staged at The Brentwood Centre
Showground, Doddinghurst Road Brentwood on Sunday 13th May. The event is being
held in an area that the Borough Council has designated a canine exercise area.
The Essex Dog Display Team and Training Centre have hired the 58 acre site for
the weekend, Roy Dyer, Display Team Director, said that he is very much aware
of the disappointment that doggie people and the public are experiencing
because of cancelled events. Therefore the display team has very generously
offered space free of charge to any club/society that is in need of a venue.
By careful planning of the showground, space being made available would be ample
for up to 20 agility, obedience or show rings, plus a large area for car parking.
There would be no objection if two clubs applied and wished to work along
side each other.
The showground, which is just 2 miles from junction 28 of the M25, would be
available for ring preparations from Thursday 10th May.
Any club applying must have adequate Public Liability Insurance.
