With more than 2,000 dogs taking part and a mammoth 19,000 entries there was plenty to keep everyone entertained throughout the week. The fifth running of the event was held at the Hickstead showground, which provided superb facilities with evening entertainment bringing a wonderful holiday atmosphere to the occasion. Burgess Supa Dog Marketing Manager, Sarah Riddolls, said: ‘The week-long show ran extremely smoothly, we were delighted with the huge number of entries and the wonderful way in which competitors really enjoy the event. ‘It is a superb week, and now the biggest dog agility event in the country. The Supa Dog Active and Supa Dog with Lamb and Rice were especially popular, and Burgess Supa Dog were delighted to support the week once again.’ Organised One of the highlights on the agility circuit, the week is organised by well-known agility trainer Linda Croxford. Said Linda, ‘I would like to thank everyone who helped to make the week a success. It is a very big task to undertake and wouldn’t be possible without the assistance of many volunteer helpers. ‘The sponsorship provided by Burgess Supa Dog is very much appreciated. The whole week is very much a team effort, with much excitement on the final day’s competitions.’ This year’s judges for the final were Peter and Hilary Crew. Winner of the Supa Dog advanced final was well-known agility handler Greg Derrett and his Border Collie, Fern. Greg and Fern have won many of the major agility awards on offer and were delighted to add this one to their tally.
