A
BARKING GOOD START TO THE NEW YEAR
What better way to celebrate moving into the year 2002 than with your
faithful four legged friend at the annual Exemption dog show at Wood Green
Animal Shelter in Godmanchester.
This
New Year's day the Charity are hoping to once again see hundreds of people
and their dogs take part in the dog show which is being held in the Britten
arena at the Godmanchester Shelter.
The
show, held under Kennel club rules is open to all, with entries accepted
on the day from 9.30am is the only one of its kind in the region. The
dog show has proved over the years to be an extremely popular event and
provides the perfect day out after the festive period. Simon Blows, Event
Co-ordinator at Wood Green Animal Shelter said of the event…"We love seeing
all the fun that's had on New Year's Day as the dogs love the chance to
get out after Christmas.
There
are plenty of different classes for all types of dogs from the breed sections
and obedience to fancy dress or waggiest tail."The
New Year's Day Exemption Dog Show is a vital fundraising event for Wood
Green Animal Shelters, supporting the Charity's work in caring for and
rehoming animals at a particularly busy time of the year.
