Petsearch UK launches new campaign
NATIONWIDE missing pet helpline Petsearch UK is celebrating its 11th birthday with the launch of its new Love Me - Tag Me campaign.
The campaign is aimed at encouraging pet owners to id their pets by using the
schemes free write-on tags, to enable lost animals to be reunited with
their owners via its free national network.
The scheme was founded in 1990 by Paula and Harry Greaves in response to the
number of lost animals being destroyed or rehomed locally when their owners
could not be traced. It soon became evident that help would be needed in other
areas - and Petsearch UK came into being.
With helplines manned by as many as 300 volunteers - each with a register of
lost and found animals and birds in their area - a national database register
and a website complete with picture gallery, Petsearch UK is dedicated to helping
to reunite lost pets with their owners.
Petsearch UK provides a free service, but with over 500,000 calls for help handled
annually, donations and sponsorship are always welcome. For more information
please contact Paula and Harry Greaves on 0121 743 4133 or visit the website
