Welks Entries Close - and change of judge
IT IS some seventy years since the original founding ladies got together over
tea and decided to form a Canine Society, therefore in 2001 the West of England
Ladies Kennel Society is celebrating its 70th Anniversary at the Championship
show in April.
There are additional rosettes in every breed, a special stakes class for the
reserve CC winners at the show and also a prize draw in every bred, the prize
being the entry fee paid by the exhibitor to enter the dog whose ring number
is drawn. (The exhibit must be present at the show to be eligible for the draw).
In addition Pedigree Masterfoods have agreed to sponsor a further seen draws
from each groups breed winners for a years supply of Pedigree product. The society
has kept the entry fees at the same rate as last year at £17 for first
entry for CC breeds and £15 for non CC breeds, there is no charge for
parking and catalogues can be prepaid at £3.00; there will be some available
for sale each day at £3.50.
Entries for the show, to be held at The Three Counties showground, Malvern on
the 27th to 29th April, close on the 28th February (postmark). Enquiries for
schedules etc., may be made to the secretary Mrs Sheila Jakeman, Lyneham Lake,
Kingham, Oxford, OX7 6UJ, tel: 01608-659369.
