Lucy in training for charity trek

Homeless dogs from the animal welfare charity, the Blue Cross, are helping Lucy Graham of Swinbrook, Oxfordshire, to train for a 100km trek and raise money for rescued or abandoned animals at the same time.

Lucy, 18, is the youngest member of the trekking group which will include Vets in Practice star Joe Inglis, and former Blue Peter presenter, Valerie Singleton.

Last summer, Lucy helped out at the Blue Cross in their equine rehabilitation unit, she was so impressed by their methods that when she heard about their scheme to raise essential funds, she was determined to be part of it.
Lucy asks that an readers who want to support her efforts – and the work of the Blue Cross, send cheques made payable to ‘The Blue Cross’ to: Lucy Graham, c/o Events Officer, The Blue Cross, Shilton Road, Burford, OX18 4PF; or phone the trek organiser on 01993 825501 extension 253 for more details.
