GMTV's Get Up and Give Appeal

ONE OF the biggest events to take place in the UK in aid of GMTV’s Get Up & Give Appeal has been organised by Pets As Therapy.

The Week Long Party is to be held at The Metro Centre, Gateshead from Monday July 16 - Friday July 20 and proceeds will be split evenly between the five chosen charities - Association of Children’s Hospices, CLAPA (Cleft Lip and Palette Association), DeafBlind UK, Haemophilia Society and Pets As Therapy.

The Metro Centre event will include a Steel band, singers, dancers, brass band, Mr Twister (the balloon man), school choirs, face painters etc. and will feature a Parade of PAT dogs everyday.

Help is being urgently requested from people in the world of dogs who may have some time available during Get Up & Give week to assist with collecting, manning stands, helping run competitions or even blowing up balloons! The event will run from 10am - 8pm each day with a late night until 9pm on the Thursday.
