Wanted: Loving Owners
THE CHESHIRE Dogs Home is looking for special people to adopt three of
its long-stay residents. All of these three dogs are very affectionate and friendly
but often it is the case that when puppies are available for rehoming, the older
dogs dont get a look in. These dogs have a lot to offer:
Spike - is a brindle and white, medium sized, male, cross border
collie. He is only 18 months old. He has been at the Home since 8th September
2000 - 10 months. Spike likes playing football, he is good on the lead, very
affectionate and gets on well with other dogs. Spike is a little nervous at
first but he is friendly and affectionate. He likes both men and women. He would
make a very good companion for some lucky person.
Toby is a tan all over, medium sized, male dog. He is about 4 years
old and he, too, had been at the home for ten months. Toby would prefer to be
the only dog in someones life. Although he does like bitches, he is a
little dominant with other dogs. Toby is good on the lead, very affectionate
with people and does not seem to need a lot of exercise. He needs a loving home.
Dexter - is an all black bull terrier cross male dog. He is about
eight years old and he was admitted to the home at Christmas 2000. Dexter, like
most Bull Terriers, does not like other dogs. He would need to live in a one-dog
household. Dexter loves teddy bears - to chew. He loves going for walks in the
woods around the home, he is good on the lead and he is very affectionate with
people. Make Christmas 2001 a better one for Dexter.
These and many other older dogs would dearly love a chance to make somebody
happy. The kennels are open from 1pm to 5pm Tuesday to Saturday and 1pm to 4pm
on Sundays at Cheshire Dogs Home Tel 01925 269500.
