'Leeding' the way to good citizenship

The Kennel Club is pleased to advise that a Good Citizen Dog Scheme Ring will be located at Leeds City & District Canine Association on Saturday 28th, Sunday 29th and Monday 30th July 2001.

Good Citizen Bronze Award Testing will be available to all exhibitors attending the show. The Good Citizen Ring will be situated in Ring 1 throughout the show and exhibitors will need to bring with them, a suitable collar & lead with attached identification tag and most importantly a poop scoop.

A donation of £1.00 per dog will be required for each participant, which will be donated to the Leeds City & District CA nominated canine charity.

The Good Citizen Dog Scheme was established in 1992 to promote canine awareness through responsible dog ownership. The Scheme is now promoted through over 1000 dog Training organisations in the UK and over 50,000 dogs have graduated through the initial Bronze level.

A description of the Scheme can be obtained from the ringside at the show or from The Kennel Good Citizen Dog Scheme office on telephone number 0207 518 1011 or e-mail ‘

So come and turn your canine chum into a little angel!

Watch out for more Good Citizen testing at other championship shows this year!
