Ch Starborough Gorse at Redbanner

CH. STARBOROUGH Gorse At Redbanner (Gus) has died at the age of eight and a half. He was top Borzoi exhibit 95, 96, 97, 98, Top Borzoi exhibit, the Borzoi Club 1995, 96, 97.

He won 33 CCs, 30 BOBs including Crufts 1997 and 98. six reserve CCs, four Hound groups, six Group 2s including Crufts 98, two Group 3s, two Group 4s including Crufts 97, runner up top Hound 1997, top sire 1997, top stud dog 2000.

His show career was cut short in March 1999 when he broke a hind leg while free running. He sired seven litters, among them his son the current top winning Borzoi Ch. Vronsky The Vanquisher, his litter sister Ch. Vronsky Veil Of Secrecy At Redbanner died last year, there are CC and reserve CC winners in other progeny. Bred by Lorraine Marchant of Starborough kennel, owned and greatly missed by Julie & Bernard Stevens-Smith.
