Belfast date change now confirmed

THE BELFAST Dog Show Society championship show date has officially moved to September 22 2001. This was confirmed by the Kennel Club on March 15, writes Jackie Stubbs.

The society was unable to run with the original date of the 29th due to the venue having to re-schedule several major exhibitions owing to the Foot & Mouth outbreak, making ti impossible to gain access in time to set up for the show.

The secretary on behalf of the management committee would like to thank all those concerned with moving so quickly on this and for the co-operation of the clubs, judges & Kennel Club in resolving this matter within such a short space of time.

It is with regret that we also learned of the death of Mr Harry A Jordan who was to have judged at Belfast this year. Forever the gentleman and someone who the world of dogs held in great respect, we extend our sympathies to his family and all concerned.
