Top Gundogs compete

THE GUNDOG Breeds Association of Scotland Top Gundog Competition was held at the superb venue of the Queens Ferry Hotel, after its Annual General Meeting. On a point system 20 top gundogs participated in a knock out match.

Margo Cowe, the hard working secretary who is retiring after eleven years, thought up this idea, and what a great success it was generating enthusiasm and interest all around. The eventual winner after many hard decisions was a most lovely English Springer; Sh Ch Berkenbar Duette won a beautiful cut glass bowl kindly donated by Pedigree Masterfoods.

The President Margie Cairns and Chairman Roy Ellison and the rest of this dedicated committee made me most welcome, Scottish hospitality as usual second to none, I had a wonderful day.
