Young dog fan wins national competition
Charlotte Lydiard receives her prize from Alison Young of Seven Seas Pet and Animal Health Care.
CHARLOTTE Lydiard has coloured her way to success after winning a national competition.
Six-year-old Charlotte of Davis Street, Homegrand, Avonmouth won a colouring competition organised by Hull-based Seven Seas Pet and Animal Health Care.
A pupil at Avonmouth Primary School, Charlotte picked up an entry form for the Vetzyme colouring competition from Kabin Pets in Smallway, Congresbury and received an Ultimate Art Case from Crayola and tickets to the zoo.
Said Charlotte: I think the colouring competition was great and couldnt believe it when I was told I had won. It is brilliant to win tickets to the zoo and the art case is really good.
Charlotte is a real dog fan, helping her mum Debbie to look after their pets Bluey and Tilly.
Aimed at promoting responsible pet care and getting children involved with looking after their pets, the competition promoted Vetzyme Once-a-Day conditioning tablets, and the importance of keeping pets in the best of health.
With more than 750 children taking part, the Hull-based company were inundated with many colourful entries from all over the country.
The prizes included top of the range Crayola art cases and activity sets, as well as tickets to the zoo for the overall winner.
Product Manager Lisa Carlin said: We were very encouraged that so many children play a part in caring for their pets and making sure they receive all the goodness and nutrition they deserve.
The entries were brilliant and the judges had a very difficult task choosing the winner, three runner-ups and 100 third placed prize winners.
