Hound committee cancels Easter Show

THE HOUND Association of Scotland Championship show, originally scheduled for Easter Saturday has become the latest principal group show to fall victim of the current Foot & Mouth Disease crisis.

A brief statement issued last week following an emergency committee meeting said: “In view of the ongoing escalation of the foot and mouth outbreak and the drastic measures being taken to control it, the Committee of the Association, having considered all aspects of the situation, decided to cancel the championship Show which was planned for Saturday 14th April, 2001.
