Newark
opens for business.... and that means dog shows!
AS THE Foot and Mouth crisis is now officially abating, the world of dog showing
is gradually returning to normal as more and more rural venues are allowing
such events to proceed.
The latest - and perhaps most eagerly awaited - venue to open its doors for
business again is the Newark and Nottinghamshire Agricultural Showground. The
first dog show to proceed as planned will be the Humberside Cavalier King Charles
Spaniel Championship Show, scheduled for June 11th, with all other dog show
bookings for 2001 to go ahead as booked.
The Three Counties Championship Show at Malvern scheduled for June 11 to 14th
is to proceed as planned, as is the East of England Show at Peterborough on
July 17th.
For further information on which dog shows will be staged or those which are
affected by the FMD outbreak, see our regular list.... and also on the OUR DOGS
