FOLLOWING SUBSTANTIAL consultation with members and exhibitors following Petindex 2001, the views were widely supportive that an accommodation should be sought with Glee, held annually in September.

Consequently as a result of this and following months of careful negotiation to best represent members and exhibitors interest the Pet Care Trust is delighted to announce that from 2002 Petindex will be held at Glee at the NEC on 15-17 September.

The show will be known as Glee Petindex, and bookings etc will be run from the owners of Glee, Trade Promotion Services Limited.

Members will be reassured to know that the Pet Care Trust has negotiated a discount of 12.5% on stand space for members, and consequently they should be careful to specify this and that they wish to exhibit in the Petindex section when making their booking.

Excellent

The combination of Trade Promotion Services Limited marketing and sales strengths (they are part of Emap who also publish Pet Product Marketing), and the strength of the Petindex brand and the Pet Care Trusts members importance in the industry means that the show is set for an excellent turn out.

Pet Care Trust will be advising Glee on its promotional strategy to ensure that retailer attendance is even higher than at Petindex 2001 (which showed a substantial increase on previous years), and commend the arrangement to the industry.

Petindex will continue to benefit from matters such as free parking and free entry, and should result in a record turn out.

With approximately 50% of retailers finding winter their busiest season there is a great deal of sense in re-directing the UK’s trade show to help provide goods and services for this busy time of the year, and the shows timing is ideally placed to take advantage of the Christmas rush and to introduce appropriate goods and services.
