Lesley Graham leads AHT development

LESLEY GRAHAM, known to racing enthusiasts as one of the presenters of Channel Four Racing has been appointed Director of Strategic Development at the Animal Health Trust.

The appointment follows a long association with the veterinary charity, first as a member of the Appeals and Fundraising Committee and more recently Lesley has spearheaded a major fundraising initiative known as the Fellowship Scheme. This activity alone will yield funds of 500,000 pa.

Following a successful career in corporate law, Lesley moved into broadcasting as a TV presenter. She is also a radio presenter. Chairman of the Animal Health Trust Ted Chandler said: "I am very pleased to welcome Lesley into her new position. She has already demonstrated her energy and enthusiasm for the organisation through her work with the Fellowship Scheme and I am delighted that she wishes to join us on a more formal basis with this new position."

Commenting on her new role Lesley Graham said: "As an animal lover and pet owner, and through my connections with horse racing, I have every admiration for dedication and commitment of the scientists and support staff at the Animal Health Trust. To be part of the team which is producing cutting edge veterinary science is enormously rewarding."
