Graham leads AHT development
LESLEY
GRAHAM, known to racing enthusiasts as one of the presenters of Channel
Four Racing has been appointed Director of Strategic Development at the
Animal Health Trust.
The
appointment follows a long association with the veterinary charity, first
as a member of the Appeals and Fundraising Committee and more recently
Lesley has spearheaded a major fundraising initiative known as the Fellowship
Scheme. This activity alone will yield funds of £500,000 pa.
Following
a successful career in corporate law, Lesley moved into broadcasting as
a TV presenter. She is also a radio presenter. Chairman of the Animal
Health Trust Ted Chandler said: "I am very pleased to welcome Lesley into
her new position. She has already demonstrated her energy and enthusiasm
for the organisation through her work with the Fellowship Scheme and I
am delighted that she wishes to join us on a more formal basis with this
new position."
Commenting
on her new role Lesley Graham said: "As an animal lover and pet owner,
and through my connections with horse racing, I have every admiration
for dedication and commitment of the scientists and support staff at the
Animal Health Trust. To be part of the team which is producing cutting
edge veterinary science is enormously rewarding."
