DATES FOR SOUTHERN COUNTIES 2002

The government has decreed that the May Bank Holiday in 2002 will be moved to the first Monday in June and an extra Bank Holiday (on the Tuesday) be added to the weekend to celebrate the Queen's Jubilee.

The Committee of Southern Counties Championship Show felt that the extra holiday traffic on the Friday was likely to seriously inconvenience exhibitors nad requested that thre kennel Club give permission for the dates to be changed to Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 1st, Second and 3rd of June. The request has now been approved.

Hounds, Toys and Terriers will be on Monday 3rd June and Working and Pastoral breeds will be on Sunday 2nd June as orginally planned, but the Gundog and Utility Groups will be now be scheduled on the Saturday 1st June.
