BVA Congress moves south to Winchester
THIS YEAR'S BVA Congress will be held at The Winchester Guildhall from Thursday 4 to Sunday 7 October 2001.
The congress which has established itself as the premier forum in which issues of concern to the UK veterinary profession can be highlighted and discussed, commences with two simultaneous one-day sessions. The Dogs Seminar, organised in conjunction with Society of Greyhound Veterinarians, will commence with an overview of veterinary involvement in Greyhound racing before addressing a number of specific health and welfare issues.
Meanwhile The Food Production Seminar, organised in conjunction with the Veterinary Public Health Association, includes presentations from representatives of the many links in the food chain, not least the Food Standards Agency and supermarkets.
The Opening Ceremony and Awards presentations will feature addresses by The Baroness Mallalieu, Chairman of the Countryside Alliance and Mr David Tyson, the President of the BVA.
OUR DOGS will review some of the canine papers when these become available.
