‘Supa’ support for popular agility week

TOP dogs from the world of agility are set to take part in the Burgess Supa Dog Agility Show – the largest event of its kind in the country.

Competitors will travel from all over England and the continent to take part in the event which is set to see more than a staggering 20,000 entries throughout the week long event.

This year’s event, the sixth to be sponsored by Burgess Supa Dog, looks set to be bigger and better than ever with a wide range of exciting and innovative new features.

As the event takes place during the Queen’s Golden Jubilee week there will be a Jubilee street party on the Tuesday, visits by leading personalities, fun team dog agility competitions and a Supa Dog Supa Cinema.

The Young Kennel Club will also be holding their summer camp during the show which is a major highlight on the agility circuit.

The event will raise money for the Riding for the Disabled Association, Animal Samarotans and Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.

A host of evening entertainment is planned including tribute bands, an illusionist, disco, karaoke and bingo to make the week a real family event not to be missed.

This year is the sixth running of the show, which is held at the Hickstead Showground and takes place from Saturday, June 1 to Friday, June 7.

One of the highlights on the agility cicuit, the week is organised by well known agility trainers Linda and Adrian Croxford and has once again secured the support of Burgess Supa Dog.

Said Linda: “We are delighted to have secured sponsorship from Burgess Suap Dog for the sixth year running, plans are well underway for this year’s event and we are hoping for an even bigger turnout.”

As last year, classes will run throughout each day and there are competitions for all levels from starters to seniors. Midi classes will also be held, providing something for everyone over the seven days.

The event will lead to the Burgess Supa Dog grand final on the last day, which is expected to be a superb finish to a week of exciting competition.

Burgess Supa Dog Marketing Manager Sarah Riddolls said: “The show goes from strength to strength and we are delighted to be supporting the event once again. It attracts competitors from all over the country and there is always a great atmosphere throughout the week.”
