New
recognition for Sri Lanka
At
its meeting of the 9th July 2002 the General Committee of the
Kennel Club agreed to enter into a Full Reciprocal Agreement
with the Kennel Association of Sri Lanka.
At the same time the Kennel Club will withdraw the Provisional
Reciprocal Agreement from the Ceylon Kennel Club.
This decision has been reached on the basis of the information
which both organisations supplied to the Kennel Club and the
fact that the General Committee believes that the KASL is in
full control of canine matters in Sri Lanka and is actively
promoting responsible dog ownership and proper care of all dogs
in their country.
The Kennel Club asks any Judges that have already been invited
to judge for the Ceylon Kennel Club to take particular note
that we no longer have a reciprocal agreement with this Club.
