Ormond Street goes to the dogs!
Greyhounds will be racing for more than the elusive hare at the Great Ormond Street Hospital Race Evening at Wimbledon Stadium on 24 September. Money raised on the night will be donated to the Hospital's Charity, to provide vital equipment and fund new research into childhood diseases. Keen dog racers can sponsor a race for £4,000, which includes a table for 10 guests, or sponsor a dog for £100. Tickets cost £65 per person, to include a champagne reception and dinner in the luxurious stadium restaurants. The evening begins at 6.30 with champagne, and the first race and dinner gets underway at 7.30 pm. Jessica Brandon, Special Events Manager, said, 'Many children endure illness throughout their childhood. This Charity Race night should raise much-needed funds to our young patients get better.'
