Raymond Beattie, who had been a long time member of Belfast Dog Show Society, serving both as a committee member and latterly, until his retirement at this year's A.G.M., had been treasurer, died suddenly on Tuesday 13th August.

He awarded CCs in the UK in both Boxers and Dobermanns and was a multi-group and best in show judge under IKC rules having also had judged abroad many times. He was buried in his local church on Friday 16th August when many of his friends from within the world of dogs paid their respects. He is survived by his wife Frances and his two sons, Paul and Stephen.
