Stafford dies at WKC show

A STAFFORDSHIRE Bull Terrier died after collapsing in the ring at the WKC show last Saturday.

Temperatures in the eighties greeted exhibitors at the show with many breeds using the shelter of wet weather tents.

The black brindle dog Bowtman’s Black Country Boy at Shaunchar was being shown in the Limit dog class by Ken and Linda Williams of Great Wyrley, near Walsall, in ring 32 which was part of the upper area of the showground.

The 21 month old dog collapsed and died at the ringside before the duty vet, who had been called, could reach the ring. A passing veterinary nurse attempted to revive the dog and Mr & Mrs Williams would like to contact her if possible via OUR DOGS.

Two weeks ago a Bulldog died before reaching the rings at Bakewell AS show after suffering difficulties.
