Do
you own a Dog Idol?
At Discover Dogs 2002, the Kennel Clubs Companion Dog
Club will be searching for its very own Companion Dog
of the Year 2002. The competition is open to all Companion
Dog Club members - crossbreeds and pedigrees alike, and offers
the ideal platform for both the dogs and their owners to prove
they have the perfect partnership.
To gain the prestigious title, Companion Dog of the Year,
all we ask is for Companion Dog Club human members to explain
on behalf of their canine chums why they feel they should be
awarded such a title by filling in an entry form and sending
it to the Kennel Club. Twenty lucky finalists will be chosen
from the entries to take part in Companion Dog Idol
at Discover Dogs, Earls Court 2 on 16th November 2002.
At the event the finalists will be required to show off a trick
that their human owners have taught them to perform. The trick
can be anything from catching a ball, barking on command, retrieving
a toy or choosing their favourite treat!
With Celebrity Judges and excellent prizes it is guaranteed
that this will be a fun event for all.
Entry forms and membership details are available from the Kennel
Clubs website www.the-kennel-club.org.uk or by calling
0870 606 6750. All entries should be returned to Companion Dog
Club, The Kennel Club, 4a Alton House Office Park, Gatehouse
Way, Aylesbury, Bucks, HP19 8XU, together with a photo of the
special dog, by 1st October 2002.
