This oil on canvas painting by John Emms (1813-1912) showing two Foxhounds
and a Hunt Terrier was painted in 1909. Despite measuring only just over
10" x 13" (33 x 26cm), it sold for £25,850 (including buyer’s premium) - more that 10 times the auctioneers estimate - at Christie's Sporting Art and Dogs sale on November 28th
