THE TWELFTH annual sponsored dog walk in aid of the Manchester Dogs’ Home was held in Debdale Park, Manchester, on 12th May was attended by over 600 people, making the day a huge success. The Home thank all who participated for helping to raise over £16,000.

In stark contrast to this good news is that the kennels are bulging with over 250 dogs on the rehoming row alone. Many of the dogs on the rehoming row were brought in during the run-up to and since bonfire night and have not been claimed and things will only get worse in the run-up to Christmas. 250 loving homes are urgently needed for the dogs on rehoming row.

Manchester Dogs’ Home appeals to anyone who can rehome a dog to visit the kennels. They are open seven days a week, Monday to Saturday from 1pm until 5pm and Sundays from 1pm until 4pm – please make that visit.
