Donation plea from animal charity

Wood Green Animal Shelters are currently appealing for food for the hundreds of animals in their care. In addition to feeding its own animals, Wood Green actively supports other animal charities throughout the year with supplies of food, but now need help themselves.

Local Tesco and Sainsbury's supermarkets are active supporters of the Shelters and collect food for the animals on a constant basis.

Dennis Baker OBE Chief Executive of Wood Green Animal Shelters said: "it is a fact of life that this is our busiest time of year for taking in lost and unwanted animals. We depend so much upon the generosity of the general public throughout the year, but the lead up to Christmas is particularly demanding, and so we are having to make this special appeal for contributions of food or cash."

To show support of the work carried out by Wood Green Animal Shelters please make food donations either to Wood Green Animal Shelters in Godmanchester or at the following outlets: Tesco: Huntingdon, March, Ely, Newmarket, Saffron Walden, Milton. Sainsbury's: Huntingdon. Cash contributions would be most gratefully received at: Wood Green Animal Shelters, King's Bush Farm, Godmanchester, Cambs. PE29 2NH
