It is with great sadness that I have to report the death, in June, of Hylda Gould. Unfortunately the Hungarian Vizsla Club was not informed that Hylda had passed away until very recently.

She shared the affix Candelab with her late husband Reg and they were known in both Toy and Gundog breed circles. In 1981 they joined the ranks of Vizsla owners when they bought Russetmantle Bayleaf . In the late '80s, Hylda took on the post of Show Secretary to the HVC, whilst Reg became Show Manager and what a great team they were too. In 1988 Hylda assumed the mantle of Club secretary from 1988 until 1991. When Reg, who was then Chairman, retired from this post they went to live in Portugal which they loved and where they continued to carry out various judging appointments. When Reg died Hylda came back to live with relatives but, it seems, never really got over her sad loss. Jackie Perkins
