supports rescue services conference
GILBERTSON AND Page, manufacturers of the market leading Gilpas
and Dr John ranges of complete dog foods, are pleased to be
working closely with David Jones, recognised internationally
as one of the leading lights in the field of Specialist Search
Dog Operations.
With sponsorship from Gilbertson and Page a two day conference
entitled Specialist Dogs for the new Millennium
is to be held at the University of Wales in Bangor.
The first conference of its kind in the United Kingdom will
be held on Saturday and Sunday, March 23rd and 24th 2002. The
conference will be looking at new developments and current trends.
Brian Rousseau, Leader of the New York State Urban Search and
Rescue Team is to be the principal speaker and inevitably he
will cover the Search and Rescue operation at Ground Zero. There
will be other presentations and demonstrations from experts
in Disaster Search, Fire Investigation, Water Search, Mines
Clearance, HM Forces Service, Mountain Rescue, Dadaver Detection,
Training Methodology (Norway) and also Breeding and Evaluation
Programmes.
There will be a number of experts and handlers attending from
overseas and the conference is open to anyone with an interest
in any of the topics included. The sponsors, Gilbertson and
Page, will have staff on hand for the duration of the conference
to offer advice and help with feeding and nutrition matters.
