Breed record holder dies

It is with regret that we record the death, on Christmas day, of the Hungarian Puli Ch Weetoneon The Equalizer (Turbo). He was 11 years old.

He was retired from the show ring at LKA 2000, where he won his 30th CC and group 3 at the age of ten years.

Born November he was sired by Weetoneon Frolic by Firelite out of White Dove for Weetoneon and was owned and bred by Avril Lacey and Stan Syzyczewski.

His show career was one of great prominence in the breed. the grandson of Ch.Borgvaale Fanny By Gaslight (herself the first Hungarian puli to win an general championship show group) he was breed record holder for some years with 30 ccs, and was the only Hungarian Puli to have won BIS at a general championship show (City of Birmingham 1996) and Reserve BIS at Windsor 1998.

He also won six groups and multiple group placings including Group 3 and 4 at Crufts).

He was also successful as a finalist in the Pedigree Special Champion and Veteran Stakes.

He was top winning puli from 1994 -1998.
