What
a challenge!
The
Irish Red & White Setter Club of GB recently held its annual Challenge
match in the Cedric Ford Pavilion at Newark Show Ground.
Open to Irish Red & White Setters who have achieved a Challenge Certificate
or Reserve Challenge Certificate and puppies who have been placed first,
second or third at a Championship show with CCs on offer, the match attracted
an entry of 20 dogs.

Best
in Challenge was Sh Ch Spyefire Able Seaman to Wroxham, owned by Eileen
Walker and bred by Suzanne Humphries. Reserve Best in Challenge was winner
of the Special Puppy class, Karen Lockwood's home bred dog Lockenna Olympic
Flame. The judge was well known IR&WS breeder and exhibitor, Eleanor White
(Castlefenny).
The
event was well supported by Club members, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere
of a social event combined with their favourite hobby - showing dogs!
Grateful
thanks go to the sponsors, James Wellbeloved, Purina Proplan, Dorwest
Herbs and Seven Seas and also to Martyn Ford who acted as Master of Ceremonies
and kept the spectators entertained throughout the day.
