New courses at the Central School of Dog Training
The Central School of Dog Training in Church Lane, Bocking opened in September 2001 has got off to an excellent start and is proving very successful with local dog owners.
It is attracting a great deal of interest from further afield. The new year sees the commencement of two new courses for dog owners. Firstly Grooming & First Aid, this six week course will take place on Saturday mornings and covers how to carry out a health check, first aid for common ailments and a complete business based in saffron Walden.
The second course is aimed at owners that would like to show their dogs and learn how to prepare their dogs for the show ring as well as understand the world of showing. The course takes place over twelve Thursday evenings at the Centre in Bocking. The course tutor is Helen Page, Helen has enjoyed a great deal of success in the show world at all levels.
This new course has been prepared by Helen and Avril Munson, Avril says "Ringcraft is a real art, the course reflects this by explaining all of the elements step by step. This is the first structured ringcraft class in the country, that I know of, the structure will help people to learn this art more quickly."
Both instructors have trained with Avril Munson at the Central School of Dog Training and the courses incorporate the policy of easy structured learning that the school brings to all of its training courses.
The Central School of Dog Training also offers courses for all levels and areas of pet dog training and behaviour, this includes courses for potential instructors and behaviour/psychology students.
The centre is currently seeking accreditation from the Kennel Club.
