Castle hosts new Country Fair weekend
A NEW Country Fair will be held on the weekend of July 20, 21 this year at Belvoir Castle, near Grantham, home of the Duke and Duchess of Rutland. Entrance on both mornings will be from 8.30am. A full Grand Ring programme is planned for both days from 10.30am - 6.30pm and will include the band of the Royal Air Force College from nearby Cranwell, the precision of the Free Fall Parachuting Team of the Tigers and the spectacle of Jousting with the Knights of Arkley. Other attractions including Jemima Parry-Jones flying her birds of prey, a display and Parade of Vintage Cars, the organised chaos of Terrier racing, the fast-moving games of the Mounted Games Association of Great Britain, a gundog demonstration and lots more. The Microlease Extra Aerobatics Team will give their thrilling display overhead during the afternoon and the Band will end the day with the Beating Retreat Ceremony. have a go Around
the Showground will be all sorts of displays and activities
- Clay Pigeon shooting competitions and tuition, Coarse Fishing
and Fly casting demonstrations and tuition, casting competitions,
a Gundog test, Lurchers, Terriers, Ferrets, Rare Breeds, Dog
Agility, an Old Time Fairground for the children and many
others. A helicopter ride is a must for those who want to
