of Fosse Data Systems, the well known show catalogue compiler
and printers, are taking full advantage of the company’s
on-line entry service with three major championship shows now
‘live’ on the company’s internet site - www.fossedata.net
Exhibitors for the Scottish Kennel Club’s August show,
Belfast Dog Show Society and Gundog Breeds Association of Scotland
can all enter on-line or in the run up to the shows build their
own mini-database of dogs on an ‘active’ show listing
for future use. They also receive a confirmation e-mail by return
when an entry has been made.
User friendly
Last
May 5% of the SKC championship show entries were received
on-line representing 448 dogs and 273 exhibitors. The site
has been designed to be user friendly and has been updated
and improved following some minor teething problems in the
Spring, only to be expected in a major Internet project.
Fosse Data’s Managing Director Kathy Gorman commented,
‘This is another first for our progressive company and
we have had a lot of complimentary feedback about the site.
We have a policy of constant development to aid navigation
and we have also taken on an extra member of staff to provide
e-mail support where necessary.
‘Societies who wish to take advantage of this only pay
the usual credit card transaction fee - we do the rest.’
