venue for sponsored walk
MANCHESTER
DOGS’ Home will be holding its 12th annual Sponsored Dog
Walk - the home’s major fundraising event of the year -
at Debdale Park, Gorton, Manchester on Sunday 12th May from
10 am until 4pm.
For the past 11 years, this event has been held in Heaton Park.
It is hoped that the change of venue will give dog lovers in
the Gorton, Stockport, Hyde, Denton and Ashton areas of Greater
Manchester the opportunity to join in this major event - as
well as our loyal supports who have participated for the last
11 years.
The one mile course will inlcude a walk around the tranquil
Debdale reservoirs as well as the park itself. Each dog will
receive a rosette and bag of dog food. A vet will also be in
attendance.
In addition to the dog walk, there will be lots of free competitions
and prizes for the children, a caricaturist, stalls selling
doggy-related items and refreshments.
