Target
reached hes done it!
The
Kennel Club, congratulated Mr Peter Mann, Chairman of Crufts
and the Charitable Trust Appeal, for his great effort in ensuring
that £1,000,000 has been raised within two years for the
Charitable Trust. The Kennel Club would also like to thank everyone
who gave so generously to ensure that his target was met.
The money that has been obtained will directly benefit dogs
through charitable donations and research grants. With a recently
established health Foundation Fund, the money will also greatly
assist researchers in the development of DNA tests for inherited
diseases in specific breeds.
Said Dr Jeff Sampson, The Kennel Club Canine Genetics Co-ordinator,
When you think that it took eleven years to raise the
initial million pounds when the Trust was launched in 1989 this
is really a remarkable achievement. I am sure that everyone
who know Peter would wish to join the Kennel Club in congratulating
him for providing this huge benefit to the canine world and
disbursements can now be made for the good of mans best
friends.
