Riding Canine Club

The officers and committee of the above club would like to announce
that although, through a variety of reasons, they did not hold
any shows last year the club is still going and holding training
nights at their training venue of St. David's Church Hall, Waincliffe
Drive, Leeds 11.
Unfortunately the Summer 2001 show was cancelled, like many
others, due to the Foot and Mouth Disease outbreak and the Winter
2001 show was cancelled due to the unavailability of its normal
venue. However we have been actively seeking a new venue to
house both our summer and winter shows which, because of their
classification size, the lack of suitable premises and the fact
that most other venues are fully booked, has proved somewhat
difficult. Fortunately we can now confirm that we have booked
Wetherby Racecourse, adjacent to the A1, for 7th September 2002
and look forward to giving all exhibitors our usual friendly
welcome.
As you may be aware our training venue had to move last year
due to the closure of Normanton Leisure Centre to dog related
events. We moved to St. David's Church Hall in South Leeds which
is a mere 3 minutes drive from Junction 27 (Tingley) of the
M62 motorway. We still have two training sessions a month on
the second and fourth Mondays, starting at 8.00 p.m., and NEW
for 2002 we are holding a RALLY on the fourth Monday instead
of the usual match.
The Rally takes the form of 10 classes from Puppy to Open Dog
and Open Bitch and any number of valid classes can be entered.
Points are awarded on the basis of your position in the class
with extra points for Best on Night. These points will then
be totalled up over the year and the dog winning the most points
will be presented with a prize or trophy at our Christmas Fun
Night.

and other club secretaries that our Secretary Mrs. Katherine
