After 13 years, and 38 shows, Weimaraner Association Show Secretary, Anne Harris, has decided to hang up her showbag and take a well earned rest. And at her last championship show, the WA Championship Show on Sunday 4th May, the committee and exhibitors alike showed their full appreciation when they presented Anne with a beautiful crystal decanter with glasses and an enormous bouquet of flowers.

Anne’s dedication cannot be underestimated. She relentlessly scans the dog papers and Kennel Club publications and keeps fully abreast of rule changes and amendments, dedication that has been repaid by many ‘excellent’ reports from Kennel Club Observers when they visit her shows. It was an unusual occurence, but Anne was actually speechless and overwhelmed by the presentation - to her it was all just part of the job.

Of course, Anne’s dedication couldn’t be without the support of husband, Gerald, who without fail is there to set up, steward, fetch, carry and clear up. He was also presented with a bottle of malt whisky as a gesture of thanks.
