Italian Spinone All-Aged Stake


On Tuesday 22nd October 2002 The Italian Spinone Club Of Great Britain hosted its second All Aged stake for breeds which hunt, point and retrieve at The Palgrave Shoot near Swaffham, Norfolk.

The Judges were Mrs Maureen Nixon (Quintana) and Mr Jonathan Shaw (Sentling) Eleven runners competed over sugar beet, rough grass keep and orchard.

The awards were as follows: 1st, German Long Haired Pointer 'Wamilanghaar Ashstiestiel' handled by Rob Gould. 2nd , German Shorthaired Pointer 'Madcap Brie' handled by Fred Alcock. Certificate of Merit, German Wirehaired Pointer 'Bryantscroft Skylark' handled by Allan Hender.

Thanks to our Guns John Humphries (Sporting Journalist), Ian Rudd and Ken Queenborough (Game Conservancy) whose consistent shooting assisted in achieving a day which was both enjoyable and rewarding.

The Club would like to thank Squires & Beaumont 'Field, Dog & Game' Complete Gundog food and Chapelside Feeds who sponsored the event. Also Alan Thomas (Shoot Manager), Eric Stokes (Gamekeeper) for their hospitality.
