Belfast
Dog Show Society Secretary Jackie Stubbs is delighted to announce
that this years Belfast Ch Show on 28th September, has
its highest entry ever with 2,831 dog making 3,323 entries,
an increase on last year of 199 dogs, writes Joyce Crawford-Manton,
P.R.O. Belfast Dog Show Society.
There are also 93 dogs entered in agility making 230 entries,
an upturn of 41 dogs on last year. There will be a new show
layout this year in order to accommodate the increased entry,
with Hounds, Gundogs, Terriers, Working and Pastoral breed
rings planned for outdoors in the spacious Parade Ring adjacent
to the Kings and Nugent Halls and close to the various benching
tents and halls. Wet weather rings (if required) are in the
main buildings, which exhibitors will be familiar with as
their show rings in past years.
All Toy and Utility breeds will be exhibited indoors in the
Kings Hall, (CKCS on the upper level) with benching upstairs
and grooming areas both beside the benching, on the ground
floor and in tents adjacent to the side doors of the Kings
Hall. A large service lift will be manned during the day for
those benched at the upper level. More trade stands than ever
have also booked for the show.
Belfast extends a warm welcome to all its judges and the exhibitors
who have made this a record entry and hopes they have an enjoyable
day and fair weather for the show.
