Mr Ernest Drewett
IT
IS with great sadness, I report the death on August 6th of
a truly great friend Mr Ernest Drewett aged 88 years, writes
Ron Miers.
Readers may remember, especially the older ones the Spiredom
name - synonymous with German Shepherds during the fifties
and sixties, he was a man of great humanity and would never
say a wrong word, he was full of kindness and humour, a great
animal lover particularly of horses and dogs, while he was
training German Shepherds he was to meet his wife, Mary, who
also owned, bred and trained German Shepherd dogs.
In later years they went on to breed and show the Judyland
Cavalier King Charles Spaniels with great success, he loved
his family and liked nothing better than being with them,
he was a true gentleman of the old school and he leaves his
wife Mary and four sons. We who knew him feel privileged for
his life.
Mr Vernon Webb
IT
IS with deep regret that the Borzoi club announce the death
of Vernon Webb. He passed away in the early hours of Saturday
morning September 7. A very gentle and generous man, who had
been a long standing committee member. Our hearts and prayers
go out to Anne and her family.
A full obituary will be entered under the breed notes at the
earliest opportunity.
