Calling
all Gundog enthusiasts!
Whether
you are a field trial enthusiast or have a gundog as a family
pet, dont miss the fantastic Beta/Shooting Gazette Gundog
weekend 5-6th October 2002 which is being held in the beautiful
parkland of Osberton Country Estate near Worksop.
The whole weekend is dedicated to the enjoyment of working,
training and competing gundogs - at all levels - and will include
challenging Retriever, Spaniel, HPR and Cocker Spaniel and Gamekeeper
tests. Over £1,000 worth of prizes and trophies (inc Trophies
for Junior handlers) are to be won. There will be scurries and
pick-ups for owners who simply want to have a go
as well as serious competitions for the enthusiast.
The prestige of the Beta/Shooting Gazette Gundog weekend is
reflected in the panel of high profile judges including Bill
Meldrum, retired head keeper from the Sandringham Estate who
was responsible for breeding and training HM The Queens
gundogs for many years.
Sponsors Beta, the nutritionally balanced complete lifestage
range of dog food, will also have their specialist team of nutritionalists
on hand to offer free canine health checks - owners will also
have the opportunity to pick up some training tips and advice
from some of the countrys leading gundog trainers.
Entries will be taken on the day for spectator events, and free
parking will be available.
For further information and competition entry forms please call
event Secretary Di Arrowsmith on 01283-575488.
