With a network of 16 Rehoming Centres across the UK, the NCDL cares for over 11,500 stray and abandoned dogs each year. There were over 117,500 stray and abandoned dogs in the UK last year, with 12,932 of these destroyed - simply because they did not have a home. The NCDL never destroys a healthy dog and through its various campaigns including neutering and microchipping, the charity is working towards the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction.
