If you need to search the internet, try using the dogpile.co.uk
search engine and you will help the 11,500 stray and abandoned
dogs cared for by the NCDL each year.
The NCDL, the UKs largest dog welfare charity, has joined
forces with dogpile.co.uk to raise funds for the charity over
the next six months. From September 20th 2002, a donation will
be made to the NCDL for every search made through www.dogpile.co.uk
and the promotional site www.ncdl-dogpile.co.uk.
340
searches will feed an NCDL rescue dog for a day
1,500 searches will pay for a warm fleecy dog bed
9,000 searches will help pay for vaccinations and a check
up at the vets
600,000 searches will purchase a new Recovery Kennel
The
more people that search via Dogpile, the bigger the contribution
- meaning more dogs can be cared for by the NCDL. So, be sure
to tell all your friends and family about the benefits of
using www.ncdl-dogpile.co.uk
for all your website searches.
With a network of 16 Rehoming Centres across the UK, the NCDL
cares for over 11,500 stray and abandoned dogs each year.
There were over 117,500 stray and abandoned dogs in the UK
last year, with 12,932 of these destroyed - simply because
they did not have a home. The NCDL never destroys a healthy
dog and through its various campaigns including neutering
and microchipping, the charity is working towards the day
when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat
of unnecessary destruction.
