Razumovs Morning Tea, signed, oil on canvas
and part of a sale of contemporary Russian paintings at Nicholsons.
Surrey based auctioneer, John Nicholson Fine Art is holding
another of the regular sales of contemporary Russian art on
Sunday April 13th at their Fernhurst saleroom, starting at 3pm.
This sale includes over 200 lots and once again there are several
paintings which include dogs within the canvas, Breeds represented
naturally include the Borzoi, with two works by Vladimir Gusev
plus a Westie and a Pointer by the much collected Konstantin
Razumov. Viewing is during working hours on Friday 11th and
Saturday 12th and on the morning of the sale.

Gusev was born in 1957 in Orekhovo-Zuevo, son of the 1940s/50s
Soviet Realist painter Sergey Gusev. Vladimir is a graduate
from the Surikov Institute, studying under Viktor Tsyplakov.
Vladimir likes working in the open air and spends much time
working with his father and specialises in country landscapes.
The dominant colours of his works are calm and reserved and
their moods cheerful and joyous. A frequent visitor to Paris,
where he has started to paint cafe society and the life of the
Parisians
