Greyhounds and lurchers to benefit

DOG LOVERS are invited to come along to the Evesham Greyhound and Lurcher Rescue’s fundraising show on Sunday 21st September at the Danemere Pet Hotel in Tibberton, near Droitwich. Dogs of all shapes and sizes will be taking competing in classes and joining their owners on the sponsored walk.

Pedigree classes start at 12 noon and Novelty Classes start at 1pm. There is a class for every dog, including most handsome dog, prettiest bitch, waggiest tail – even best 3-legged dog and many more.

The family fun will continue with the tombola, raffle, cakes stall, pet shop plus other charity stands. There will also be a chance to get your dog microchipped by the NCDL. The refreshment stand and barbecue offer a range of snacks and drinks.

The scenic sponsored walk takes in country lanes and the canal and is a big favourite with most of the four-legged visitors!

Pip Singleton, chairman of EGLR said, ‘The annual dog show is a key date in our diary. Not only is it our biggest fundraising event of the year but it is also a huge reunion with many of the dogs we have rehomed over the years. It is good to see how they have flourished in their new homes – especially when they win in the dog show!'.
