From
2004 onwards Richmond championship dog show will be held
at a new venue – Loseley Park - following approval
by the Kennel Club.
Loseley Park is set in the heart of the Surrey countryside,
just Southwest of Guildford, approximately five minutes
from the A3.
“It was always the intention of the Officers and Committee
of Richmond to keep the show as close as possible to our
current venue” stated Nick Bryce-Smith, chairman of
Richmond, “we looked closely at a number of sites
and were very pleased to find such a suitable venue close
to our origins”.
This is only the fourth showground that Richmond will have
used during its 108 year history. Secretary Adrian Perry-Coxall
remarked. “whilst this is a huge challenge, everybody
is very positive and regards the move as a great opportunity
to enhance and improve the show”.
The show will be held on Friday 10th September - Sunday
12th September 2004. Schedules will contain all necessary
details concerning the new venue.
Nick Bryce-Smith was keen to praise his fellow officers
and committee for “the hard work that they have already
put into this project”. He concluded “See you
at Loseley Park next September.
