New York, NY – Highlights from the December 2003 meeting of the AKC Delegates are as follows:

· A proposed amendment to ARTICLE XVIII, SECTION 1 of the AKC Bylaws was adopted. It provides that the regular meetings shall be held in March, June, September, and either December or January. After the January 2005 meeting two years notice is required for all future December/January meetings.

· It was reported that since the introduction of online litter registration, more than 10 percent of all litter registrations are now being processed in that manner.

· Tom Feneis, Delegate from the Chattanooga Kennel Club was honored for being awarded all three AKC Medallions for long-time contribution to the sport (25 years as a Judge, Delegate, and Show Chairman).

The Chairman announced that the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship will be simulcast for the first time on Animal Planet and the Discovery Channel.
