On offer at the recent Christmas Fine Art Sale of the auctioneers Walker, Barnett & Hill of Cosford, Shropshire was this seasonal oil painting by John Sargeant Noble (1848-1896) ‘Their Christmas Eve’.

It sold for a hammer price of £5,000 and was signed and titled by the artist
