Time is running out to apply to attend the Kennel Club Group Judges Development Programme for the Working Group.

the first day Wednesday 28th January 2004 will cover Newfoundlands and Bouvier des Flandres and the second day Thursday 29th Great Danes and Alaskan Malamutes. The venue is the Canine Academy, Hill Farm, Tollerton Lane, Tollerton, Nottingham NG12 4GB
Birmingham Dog Show Society Ltd has agreed to assist the Kennel Club by organising a series of Group Judges’ Development seminars for Judges in the Working Group.

These seminars are aimed at Group judges and ‘would be’ Group judges who perhaps judge three breeds in this Group, or have been approved to judge another Group at Championship shows and have previously awarded Challenge Certificates to at least two breeds in the Working group. Preference will be given to those judges who do not exceed 65 years of age.

Delegates will have a unique opportunity to handle some excellent dogs and freely discuss with knowledgeable breed experts and other experienced judges all aspects to encourage a better understanding of the breeds involved.

A warm welcome is also assured for Judges already approved to award Challenge Certificates to the breed/s as Observers. They will be encouraged to contribute their valued opinions in discussions on the finer breed specific points and extend their own understanding of the breed.

The aim of the seminars is to enhance and encourage the continuing development of Working breed judges and numbers will be limited to ensure maximum enjoyment and benefit from the occasion.

Also welcome are those who do not fulfil the above criteria at present but perhaps wish to extend their awareness of the breeds under discussion.

Our aim is to host an event that will be enjoyed by everybody interested in the breeds involved and we hope to meet you there.
